What type of oil should I put in a Vehicle Lift?
The majority of Vehicle lifts require a hydraulic oil of either 22 or 32
grade.
What is the benefit of having a two post vehicle lift
The main benefits are the accessibility of the main service components on a
vehicle, i.e. brakes, wheels,
exhausts, clutches etc are not obstructed in any way, also the space taken by the lift is far less than with a
four post vehicle
lift.
What
benefit is there to lease equipment?
To improve cashflow it can make sense to lease equipment over a term from 2 - 5 years, therefore preserves capital for other projects. All payments are tax deductible and rather than paying in full, equipment can be obtained with a small or no deposit. As an example £1000.00 over 3 years with no deposit would be £37.86/month (Rates subject to change). At the end of the term ownership of the equipment passes to yourselves. Finance can usually be arranged in about 1 working day including all the credit checks.
What pressure do we need to run a air tool
One of the common misconceptions regarding air consumption is pressure, whilst
this does remain a factor more important is the need to determine the cubic feet per minute (CFM). Most compressors will operate at 10 bar (150 psi) but it is
the speed it can create the volume of air required, each air tool will have a consumption rating which must be determined before the purchase of a compressor.
How do we reduce water in our air line
If after checking your air system you are confident that you have no major air
leaks causing the compressor to run excessive then the first and cheapest option is to install a in line filter into the air line*, this should remove most
normal condensation, if you are having major water contamination it might be worth investigating the site and ambient temperature of the compressor and if
this is satisfactory then the next course of action is the installation of a refrigerant dryer or other efficient type of dryer. Please contact us to
discuss or *(See Special
offer) Where should we site our air compressor
Ideally the compressor should be sited in a cool, non
dusty area, obviously compressors tend to be quite noisy and this should be given consideration, also a point to bear in mind is that if the compressor is
"boxed" in it could cause the machine to overheat causing severe condensation problems so adequate ventilation and access should be accounted for.
Our air tools seem to be running very slow
First of all check the diameter of your air hose and
also the length, both can restrict the flow rate, basically the shorter and larger dia the better. Most air tools require lubrication, either fit an in line
lubricator or add a few drops to the air intake of the tool
One of the major problems with air compressors is
starting current. You must check that first of all that you have the correct size trip in amps also it MUST be motor rated i.e. Class 3,4 or C,D depending on
manufacturer
Our model 111 motorless wheel balancer is ideal for the small or occasional use garage,
offering everything to efficiently balance most wheels
